About me? Seriously.

My favorite Backyardigan is Uniqua–although I have a soft spot for Austin. I can play a mean game of Candyland, but these days prefer the challenge of Guitar Hero or Mario Kart. I gladly encourage my kids’ collection of pez dispensers. I am totally old school when it comes to Star Wars, but I know nothing about Star Trek. I can pronounce Pokemon, Bakugan, and kick butt at building Lego. I secretly know all the words to the songs in High School Musical, but haven’t yet embraced Hanna Montana. Imaginary tea with my daughter is my favorite drink when I can get it. If not Shiraz. Or a Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte. I also love pretzels, french fries and all things salty. My mom’s pumpkin pie and my mother in law’s perogies. Shopping–specifically at Etsy, Ikea and Williams-Sonoma. Most of all, I love hanging with my girlfriends and their kids. And, laughing. Full body, hysterical laughing.

Mostly, I am a Mom with a capital ‘M’. A Mom who wanted REAL images of her kids. You know…the kind that cannot be found amongst the forced smiles and fake backgrounds at department stores. So, after a particularly bad attempt at getting my kids to behave at one of those sessions, I bought a camera. And, that started my journey. Some might even call it an obsession. To take images that capture the reality of life as a family. Real images that illustrate the love and the unique connection that exists when you are being you. Beauty and magic that can’t be found while wearing stuffy outfits and standing in a department store studio. The beauty and magic that is found in everyday moments of laughter, giggles, tickles and imaginary friends. Let me help capture the beauty in your family.
