This family invited me in to their home and truly gave me a glimpse of an ordinary day in their life. Jewels from their treasure box…crafts with daddy…cuddles with mom…playing in their cardboard house. These are my favourite kinds of sessions. It is truly such a gift to be allowed to witness the beauty that makes up a family.

I love when I get to witness a child’s imagination at its best. This lovely girl makes ‘princesses’ out of spoons and a collection of pretty handkerchiefs. This session was awhile ago now, but seeing these images now…after Christmas, where my kids(like most kids) got too many toys–toys that require little imagination…well, I love how it proves that all you need are the things you already have and a new way of seeing them.

The last thing we did was head out to the park on their street. When we went to sit down in the shade of a tree, we saw literally hundreds of ladybugs. Remember the ladybugs this fall? They were everywhere. It was kind of magical sitting there pondering the wonders of nature. Makes me long for spring on this wintery day.

LOVE ‘the flow’, the loving ‘looks, cuddles, smiles’ between them is what I LOVE about
what you capture Dana!
Truly amazing! LOVE!
ohmygoodness, Dana. these are so very wonderful. Here’s where I think you totally excel and knock the socks off the photography world: clearly you help foster an environment that allows your clients to be far more aware of each other than of the camera. Your images sing.
What a wonderful range of expressions on these kiddos. Love all the different looks!
