They met one summer when they were camp counsellers. He proposed after climbing stairs for two days in Nepal. The ring he brought with him all the way from home didn’t fit, so they took a piece of climbing rope and melted it together and she wore that until they were home again. She is an adventurer. He is her center. Together they are embarking on life’s greatest journey and they have been kind enough to invite me along to witness it. Such a joy. Looking forward to meeting baby soon.
