If you are a blog regular, you will recognize the lovely, Kim Flanagan from Mommy Wear Daily in this crowd of natural beauties. The other ladies are Sue Bradley and Tina Varuhese. Together they make up the trio responsible for the event Balance, Boundaries and Blahniks. A fun night for the ladies on June 21st where these three lovely ladies will help you discover how to be the best you! And, Domingo–the only guy up there? The Luckiest | Calgary Maternity Photographer

Do you know the song by Ben Folds–The Luckiest? It is a favorite of mine. Because I feel so lucky to have Bob. It’s mushy but it’s true. And, when I get invited into people’s homes and I can see a similar connection, I get all emotional. Especially when those people are about to welcome a baby. I remember that time…when it was just the two of us about to become 3…it was 8 years ago for us.

Before I get all sorts of emails asking me about this shirt–it is not a maternity top. I believe it is just a regluar top and it came from the store Kismet. Yes, I think it is totally awesome, but this mom to be is a pretty wonderful model. I absolutely adore how the pattern formed a heart right in the center of her belly

And, um, yes I know you are all having home envy…it is pretty spectacular. And, guess what??? It is an apartment. Calgary has some pretty awesome apartments I am learning lately.

Ummmm…hello headboard? FANFREAKINGTASTIC!!!! I couldn’t decide color or black and white…what do you think?

I figured I should blog this maternity as I am just finishing editing their newborn session. How about a sneak peek at those??? Okay–

Wee Baby Girl | Calgary Newborn Photographer

I have just emerged from a string of newborn sessions and this is the only baby girl in the bunch. I think it is fair to say that she will be well loved ;)

She was so petite and new. Her features were so dainty that it was more like photographing a wee fairy that had come to rest in her parent’s home. One of my favorite shots is the image of her ear. I love her perfect little hair that her grandmother so lovingly combed to prepare her for her first portrait session.

It makes my job so much easier when there is this much love in a house Can’t you just sense the quiet and the calm of the first few days at home alone with babe?

It’s exhausting being a model. Thank you to this lovely family for welcoming me into your home and trusting me to document such a beautiful time in your life!!! Enjoy every second of it!
