Baby On Board

Okay…I have a weird sense of humor. I actually totally LOVE this image-I love the texture of the boardwalk, the huge diaper with the ultra hip cover, and, of course, the cute little guy just hanging out. You might remember this couple because their maternity images were on here not that long ago. Well, they are the awesome clients who told me about the ice cream. They are also awesome because they brought their emotions. That won’t make sense to everyone, but to me it means that I showed up and instantly was getting images of connection that touch me. There was absolutely no need on my part to work at bringing it out. This family just is. I love when that happens ![]()

I think dad has her beat. Look at him beaming down at his son! I think I’ll call this one ‘pure joy’.

I love that they are looking at each other here!

If you look closely, you can see me in his big, beautiful eyes.

Okay, so I had to show one of these. I have others…but I am in a big world little people phase. These guys actually walked out into the freezing cold glacier creek and stood there while I captured this. AND, it was their idea! It has been wonderful to be invited into your family to capture these memories. Thank you!
Canmore–Grassi Lakes
It’s an excellent hike for families. You can take the ‘easy’ route, but if you have to carry your three year old, Bob will tell you that it’s not THAT easy!!! I had a newborn session in Canmore this weekend. It was an excellent opportunity for us to spend some quality family time together. AND…not only did we get an awesome suggestion for lunch from my wonderful clients(Opportuni-tea), they also told us about Bernard Callebaut ice cream. Who knew? Not us…and it most definitely did not disappoint!!! Even if it meant we had to drive in to Banff for it!

This shot is just soooo Georgia. I can almost hear her sing ‘Mommy-ma, mommy-ma!’

Two minutes from our house. The sun in the antlers appealled to me. Wish I had a bigger zoom. I don’t say that very often. The moment just didn’t last that long, but it was lovely. What a great way to end a perfect day! Tomorrow, the newborn sneak peek.

…or my mom, depending on how you look at it. Georgia and her poppa talking about chocolate covered gummy bears. Seriously.
